in August 26, 1995, is one of the
seventy (70) national chapters of
Transparency International.
The
TI site gives you a regular update on
the latest developments in
anti-corruption initiatives, national
and international trends, reports on its
various programs and lists conferences
and new publications on corruption.

Much
of the strength of TI, at the international and national
levels, stems from the commitment of a number of people and
organizations who volunteer their time, expertise and
in-kind support. TI receives funding from foundations,
government corporations and individuals. Full details of the
organisation's budget are published in the Annual Report.

Starting
2004, December 9 has been officially declared
by the United Nations as the U.N. International
Day against Corruption. TI Chapters across all continents will be
recognizing the achievements made to date in the
fight against corruption as well as the challenges
that remain. A priority for all National Chapters
is encouraging their governments to ratify the
Convention through open letters and public
demonstrations. |
